La moda en el escenario

Lady Gaga, una de las cantantes más reconocidas a nivel mundial, no solo destaca por su música, también lo hace por sus extravagantes trajes con los que sorprende a todos cada vez que pisa un escenario. En esta entrada, vamos a enseñarte una pequeña parte de su vestuario con alguna que otra actuación igual de estrambótica, porque desde luego, Gaga nunca pasa desapercibida...

Sin duda, una de las señas de identidad de la cantante, son las plataformas kilométricas, y la primera imagen es un gran ejemplo de esto. El volumen en el pelo, maquillajes muy elaborados y las prendas recargadas también son propias de Gaga. 

Sin embargo, si hay una prenda que ha marcado un antes y un después en el mundo de la moda es el vestido de carne cruda, acompañado de botas y sombrero, con el que Lady Gaga sorprendió en los MTV Awards en el año 2010. El artista checo Jana Stebak fue el autor de este 'look' para la historia.

Su maquillaje, muchas veces cercano a un obra de Dalí, también contribuye a crear el estilo ''made in Gaga''.

Desde que Gaga se alió con Versace, la firma italiana de ropa, sus cambios de vestuario no han cesado. De hecho, en su gira The ArtPop Ball, se cambia alrededor de seis veces de ropa en cada concierto. Ejemplo de estos conjuntos es su disfraz de pulpo, el de una muñeca con rastas multicolor, o ella misma con alas y una canica gigante.

Y no solo esto, en el 2013 volvió a dejar boquiabiertos a todos en los VMAs, empezando con un vestuario algo más cerrado, y acabando semidesnuda, con otro de sus peculiares trajes. Aquí te dejamos su actuación.

Además, el año pasado, la revista Billboard realizó una lista para elegir a los mejores momentos que diversos artistas han protagonizado a lo largo de los años, a pocas horas de los AMAs. 

En esta oportunidad, Lady Gaga fue ubicada en el ranking (sin orden establecido) junto a su destacada actuación en la gala realizada en el 2009, donde interpretó ''Bad Romance'' y ''Speechless''.

Y no podíamos dejar escapar la interpretación que hizo de ''Paparazzi'' en los MTV 2009 Music Awards.

Pero, ¿por qué viste así Lady Gaga? Unos dicen que simplemente quiere llamar la atención de la prensa y de sus fans, puro marketing; otros, porque le gusta; otros, por contratos con diseñadores y firmas de moda. La verdad es que realmente nadie sabe con exactitud la respuesta, así que lo único que podemos hacer es seguir disfrutando del gran espectáculo que nos ofrece esta artista.

To be the Music's Image

Fashion and music have always been related.  We all connect a specific music style with a particular fashion, for example when we listen Charleston music, we all think about those large and bright dresses, with sequins, tassels... In this article we are going to speak about the precise fashion leaded by Rock, Pop and Rap.

Rock

Considered the beginning of modern music, Rock was born in the U.S.A. in the 50’s. At the same time, Rock and Roll grew up.
When we think about Rock, and the people who likes it, we can have many images on mind,but the most common are:

- If you think about Rock’s origins, you immediately think of Elvis Presley. This young man popularized the wig, white shocks, jeans and leather jackets. When he became the Rock's King, his style changed, and with it the Rock’s image, that now wore white suits with golden details.  The big belts, big collars and big cuffs were super chic!

- You may also think about Hard Rock. The fashion leaded by this type of music in the 70's was the Punk. With huge Mohawks, and black clothes, this way of clothing was the darkest evolution of the one started  by Elvis Presley 20 years before.

- Nowadays, many people are keen on Rock, but do not dress like Elvis or the Punks. It's becoming more and more popular to wear a T-shirt with the Ramones logo, the Rolling Stones tongue...

Pop

- At the beginning of pop, The Beatles were known as “Good Boys”, and their first followers were smart dressed (shirts and ties for boys, could be a whole suit; dresses and long skirts for girls).

- But The Beatles developed their music style, and suddenly their style became ''hippie'' they were no more “the good ones”. Their suits turned into long, linen clothes. Their followers, all under the hymn “Imagine” they opposed wars, supported the environment, and became very ''green''.

- Nowadays the most common music between teenagers is pop. Although pop has developed and has many divisions (like synth-pop, electro-pop...) there isn’t a precise image of the pop fans, although it is true that all the singers (girls) are supposed to be young, pretty, and act as a sex symbol and the boys bands have to be handsome and young too.

Rap

At the moment, rap is becoming more and more popular between young people who want to transmit a lot in a song, usually as a rebellion. Although the image of a rapper is continuously changing, the most common is a boy with baggy clothes and a cap, one of the best representations is Eminem.

In the XX century, apart from the big groups made, what really happened is a huge mix of music styles, new fashions, also the people tried to make a connection between music and fashion, as an example, and as a large list we can say:

Hip-Hop, Rock (Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones), Dance Pop, Jazz, Rap (Spike Lee), Blues, Rhythm and Blues, Techno, Canción Latina (Reaggeton), Punk (Sex Pistols, the Vibrators), Heavy Metal (Yard Birds, The Who, AC/DC), Folk (Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Alan Stivell), Soul (Wilson Picket, Steve Wonder, Marvin Gaye), Reggae (Jimmy Cliff, Bob Marley), Disco (Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer, Bee Gees)...

La simplicidad es la clave de la elegancia

Esta frase de Coco Channel, refleja a la perfección la temática del blog; una nueva aventura.

Básicamente, esto es un proyecto de clase, pero al poderlo relacionar con un tema que nos guste, se hace mucho más ameno para nosotras, y esperamos que para vosotros también. 

Aquí, hablaremos sobre las distintas asignaturas que tenemos, pero a través de la moda. Biología, Lengua y literatura, Francés, Matemáticas... todo tras un punto de vista diferente e innovador.

Al no tener demasiada experiencia con esto de los blogs, puede que al principio cometamos algún que otro fallo, pero nos esforzaremos tanto como esté en nuestra mano.

 Ojalá este proyecto os guste tanto como a nosotras nos entusiasma.
